Never lose Your Identity !!

We always dream of becoming a better person than what we are at present, i speak of personality, (not to be taken in any other perspective.) In the chase to acquire that, we always try to pretend to be someone whom we are actually not. And often it turns out to be wild goose chase and brings about adverse effects, and finally we end up worse than what we are actually before.

Why does this happen to most of us?? The answer is simple as given below

  • We always want to be a person who pleases everyone.
  • We try to imitate some great personality or celebrities to gather attraction.
  • We are always dissatisfied with the present and always dream of “Far far away”

I would like to emphasize one point very clearly “WE CANT PLEASE EVERYONE AT ALL TIMES”.

If we try to be so then it’s clear we never speak out boldly, and never dare to put forth our ideas openly fearing that it may displease or hurt anyone. And it’s clear that a person who can’t speak out boldly could never be a Successful leader. So we understand from this that a person who tries to please everyone can’t be a successful leader. Take for example our Ex. President Dr. Abdul Kalam, he was much adored by the student community but he could not please the politicians, and they are the ones who didn’t let him to become the President for the second time.

“BE WHAT YOU ARE” is all i wanted to say. “DARE TO BE YOU”. Don’t try to pretend and create a fake model of your ownself, while trying to please everyone.

A person who really understands you will respect your ideas and views even though they are totally against it. You never have to fear about losing them. I pity people who accept whatever someone says(even though that might contradict their own ideas) just to win their friendship or attraction, poor people.

Whatever may be my thoughts i speak out straight to the face, and of course i may be wrong at times. But, i will not hesitate to apologize if i am wrong. I would like to Quote an SMS i got from my College Friend

“BETTER BE HATED FOR WHAT YOU ARE, THAN TO BE LOVED FOR WHAT YOU ARE NOT.”

Really a nice quote isn’t it? I always try to be what i am, that is i’m generally outspoken. May be, that’s why most of the girls don’t dare to speak to me, ha ha :-) But i don’t worry, it looks better for me to sit up quiet not hurting anyone, rather trying to please someone.

Everyone is unique in God’s creation and let us not try to lose our identity by trying to be Mister X or Miss Y. People identify you by your unique feature and character, that makes up your personality and Your personality is your identity.

No one in this world can BEST REPLACE YOU other than YOURSELF.

And i would like end this post with three strong suggestions

  1. Never lose your identity(personality) in the process of pleasing somebody or everybody.
  2. Never try to imitate any other person’s personality.
  3. Be satisfied with what you are and what you have.

Keep in touch, See you.

The Programming language that caught my fan’C'y !!!

Amidst all other Programming languages with much advancement and Object oriented functionality this is the one that has caught my fancy, yeah i like ‘C’ very much.
The very first thing that drew me near towards ‘C’ is it’s simplicity. It does not frighten the Novice. Easy to learn and implement. Today people talk much about Java, C++ and C# but still ‘C’ rules when it comes to Embedded systems. Often when i feel bored i used to sit up before my PC trying out new things in C.

When i learnt C in the first semester i didn’t care much about this, as it looked to be a Big Boys stuff. When i looked at my first semester FOC Question paper there was a question like this “Write a Program in C, to generate the Fibonacci series. (8) ” FIBONACCI?? it sounded like Greek and Latin to me, but Thank God i managed to pass. It’s in the Second semester when i learnt Data Structures i got some insight of the C language. From then onwards i’m more attracted to ‘C’. Though i am a Learner still, i use to do a lot of Experiments with C.

C seems to be much more interesting after we started to do experiments in the Graphics & Multimedia lab in our 6th semester.

It all started when i was asked to write a program, to find out the no of words in the given input file. It was given as a preliminary exercise before we started with our System Software lab exercises in the third semester. It was my first encounter with ‘C’ thank God i was successful. Even though it was a meagre thing it gave me a satisfaction that i have done something on my own. And from then onwards whenever we used C for our lab programs i won’t sit quiet without trying my hands in it :-)

The power of C language is the ‘Pointers’, they are used to directly access the memory. So we ought to be careful while using pointers in our programs, as misuse of pointers may lead to system crash and sometimes it may lead to Hardware failure too. (We used pointers in almost every program in the Data structures lab).

I have a friend who is working for a Software concern, his work is to develop Operating systems for the Embedded systems at the Cockpit of Aircrafts. They use the C language for developing those Operating systems and als C++, doesn’t it sound cool?? He says that those operating systems are entirely different from them that we use at the home PC’s.

Have a lot more to say about ‘C’ as C is a SEA. But due to time and space complexity i will conclude with this.

See you again, keep in touch.

yours,

Joel RED.
