Stopping by a Frog on a power-cut Evening !!

This Title was inspired by Robert Frost’s poem “Stopping by woods on a Snowy Evening” )

We experienced complete power shut down in our area since 1 p.m yesterday. and because of the extreme hot weather, i was sweating like anything. And there was some relief in the Evening as the nature pacified the heat with a small amount of shower, but still there was no sign of Electric power making it’s appearnce.

And the Sun was slowly making it’s entry into the horizon, and it was dusk. I was restless, and moving around the small place in front of my house. All of a Sudden i found something hopping around at the other end of where i was standing, it was quite big as the size of a quarter-brick. Being influenced by “Calvin and Hobbes” i imagined myself as spaceman Spiff and the hopping object as Zok and i alighted there with a powerful cadmium torch to save the World from Destruction. And the Zok too took notice of Spaceman Spiff and was terrified by his determination to save the World and the Zok hopped away with all it’s might and hid itself in a crevice.

Then Spaceman Spiff slowly crept behind the crevice where the Zok was hiding, and found it to be.. to be.. to be…”THE RANA HEXADACTYLA” hmmmm it was a frog. And i came back to myself.

And then came to my mind the WEIRD IDEA of taking snaps of the frogs (What to do i doesn’t have any other work)

Then i started taking snaps of the Frog, with the help of my Mobile Camera. Since it is an ordinary VGA camera the clarity was very bad. And it was dark already, and i used the torch for some flash over the frog.

The frog was quite a big one, unlike the ones which usually wander around our house. And i continued to take snaps until the power in the torch went down.

The frog was very brave, even though i was sitting very close to it, it didn’t run away while i was taking the snaps, . It posed like a model . And all through the photo session Hariharan was sending me SMS reminding me to mail him the Document he needed as soon as the power comes.

And at last the power came, and i rushed in to send him the mail. This was what going in my mind then,

The Frog is lovely dark and deep,

But i have promises to keep,

I have mails to send before i sleep,

I have mails to send before i sleep
